Colonized
I feel like my entire identity has been colonized. External, and arguably quite a bit more powerful, forces have controlled my identity and my life from the very beginning of my existence. This is true regardless of the particular identity in question, e.g. racial, gender, sexual, political, social. And a closer look at a few of these will perfectly illustrate what I mean.
